Red Cross Accompanies Militant Group in Recovery for Bodies of Captives in Gaza Strip
A Red Cross official stated that its personnel joined Hamas officials into zones of the Gaza Strip still under IDF authority to support the search for the remains of individuals held captive.
Ceasefire Agreements and Hostage Remains Return
As part of the truce negotiated by the United States, which began on 10 October, Hamas is obligated to hand over the bodies of all captives as soon as possible. In exchange, Israel has consented to transfer 15 Palestinian bodies for every Israeli body returned.
