I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
